NFC

Connectivity between a device with other devices wirelessly increasingly diverse. Starting from the infrared, Bluetooth, and WiFi, there is now also named NFC (Near Field Communication).

What is NFC? NFC is  the actual development and technology Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) used in mobile devices like cell phones for various purposes. NFC technology offers a high level of comfort and security. Movement or a simple touch can connect various devices such as tablets, notebooks, PCs, smartphones and other computing devices, and easily interact with each other or with passive devices such as tags, labels and posters. NFC is also used to transfer control from one device to another device, such as to transfer video calls from tablets to other devices that already support the NFC technology.

So, how NFC works? By definition, NFC is a short range wireless connectivity technology that enables two-way interactions between electronic devices that are more secure and simple. NFC also allows users to perform contactless transactions, access digital content and connect electronic devices with just one touch. NFC communicates via induction of the magnetic field, where two devices are located in the adjacent area which effectively form a transformer with air core. Communication between two devices that support NFC technology when such devices are within less than 20 cm or closer to each other. NFC operates in the radio frequency 13.56 MHz with ISM band license.

NFC technology
In addition, NFC is a technology that can write and read data are performed in connection. Speed data transfer can be done using a variety of NFC, including 106 Kbps, 212 Kbps and 424 Kbps. The uniqueness of NFC lies in its ability to change the mode of operation into reader / writer, peer to peer, or card emulation. Different operating modes are based on ISO / EIC 14443 standard contactless smart card.

One of the phones are already using NFC technology is Nokia with it's Symbian Belle and BlackBerry with OS 7. On smartphones, this technology is used to simplify video transfer between devices that support NFC technology without activating Bluetooth, but simply by putting one phone to the other. But not only that, there are many other advantages that can be utilized from these NFC technology.

Rumor says that NFC was adopted into the OS Windows 8 made by Microsoft. The presence of NFC in Windows 8 is more preferred to use Windows 8 on tablet PCs, especially to offer a wide range of services offered by NFC.
