Apart from being a reliable means of communication, the phone also have a lot of threats. The effect can be detrimental to you as the owner, also other innocent people. What are the potential threat of this most-popular gadgets? We provide the information for you.

SPAM
Previously more popular used to refer an email, usually featuring a topic or news that is not requested or even unwanted presence by the recipient. Quite often this email contains news that is not true (hoaxes) or a link that directs the recipients to open certain sites that could contain an advertisements or even a virus. However, over the communications technology used to send messages, spam is now not only synonymous with the email but also all forms of messaging methods, including SMS and Blackberry Messenger (BBM).

If the email delivery process capable of performing automated scanning process with specific methods that can allow users to sort incoming email and categorized it as spam or not, is not the case with SMS and BBM. If you install SMS Blocker application or remove BBM contacts, not just the spam that you don't receive from contacts is concerned, but also all the messages that may have some importance for you.
Spam in the SMS or BBM is not really harmful to the recipient, but enough to take a lot of time and energy to read, sort, delete and tried to reject later on.

VIRUS
At the beginning of appearance, the virus mobile phone spreads via SMS that using the text messages system owned by Nokia Symbian S60. Later, the virus that infect smartphones seem to be more appropriately referred to as malware (malicious software) rather than a virus, because the exploitation methods conducted on the smartphone no longer have the ability to spread among smartphones. Exploitation is carried out generally centered around getting the personal information stored on the smartphone, such as contacts, passwords, email account etc.. To protect smartphones, a number of third-party developers provide antivirus application that can be installed through digital applications market of each smartphone.
