GADGET REVIEW - Did you know the meaning of Nexus on Android phone? Nexus are the name for Google's superior product in the application of the latest operating system. Currently Nexus Android phone has been entered into the 3rd generation that is entrusted to Samsung called Samsung Galaxy Nexus (I9250). This time in the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Google introduced for the first time the latest Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS is planned by Google will be the operating system that can be used for both smartphones and tablet pc. No longer separate as before (between Android Gingerbread and Honeycomb).

With 4.65 inches screen 720 x 1280 pixels Super HD Amoled, making the Galaxy Nexus has a wider screen and sharper colors than Nexus S - which is the 2nd generation earlier. Nexus S has dimensions of 123.9 x 63 x 10.9mm, while Galaxy Nexus has dimensions of 135.5 x 67.9 x 8.9mm. When talking Super HD AMOLED screen, Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the second device that has a Super HD AMOLED screen after Galaxy Note. So the color display and graphics can be very clear and sharp.

Android ICS OS interface is so similar to the Android Honeycomb OS. On Android ICS there are only 5 home screen pages and cannot be added or deleted. For the wallpaper, still very much Android, that can be static or animated wallpapers. To change the wallpaper simply by pressing the home screen in any area for a while, it will display the menu to select Wallpaper.

One thing that interesting is the Lock Screen display, you can choose the option:
  • Slide (a padlock icon that we must slide into the open icon)
  • Unlock Face (by recognizing your face, which had previously been recorded)
  • Pattern (a common method, sliding 9 dots to form a combination)
  • PIN/password (enter secret words)
