Android is smartphone with the most open source system in the world. That's mean everyone can access and customize or edit every aspect inside the Android system -- if you know how to do it. This action considerably dangerous for people who just barely known about Android system. This dangerous actions are usually called rooting or root. But don't worry, to know and get closer look about root android is not dangerous at all.

Root on android means opening up access to the "core" of the android system. Users who managed to root their Android phones have full access to the system for customizable at will with almost no restrictions.

This freedom gives many advantages to the user even though there is a risk that could happen for the careless to do so. Therefore, most developer do not give direct permission for users to root the android to avoid any kind of possible risks, such as accidentally missing/deleting of important files that could cause the system to run unnormally or even death.

so, let's take a quick look at the pros and cons of rooting android, and hope you'll find it useful in the future.

Pros
Why Android need to root? Sure there's some benefits for successful rooting.

1. Optimizing Internal Memory and Delete Unnecessary Apps.
Looks like this is one of the most reason why. You need to install an application that is able to move the entire application data to the external memory, so the internal memory becomes more spacious. And the most recommended app to perform this task is Link2SD, besides transfering apps data, with this application you can also remove some of the system applications that are less useful, so it will increase the free space on the internal memory of your device.

2. Improving the Performance of Android
More spacious room on the memory system can increase the performance of android, but not only that. Some further customization can be done to increasing the performance even more. For example, by installing a powerful application that can be useful for device performance. Some of the most popular ways by Android users is to install a custom ROM. You can also increase the speed of the processor on your device by installing one application that can do overclocking. However, overclocking is not recommended (although all activities rooting actually not recommended) because it can shorten the processor's life.

Cons
Beside providing several benefits, perform root can also cause some disadvantages, including:

1. Eliminate Warranty
Perform root mean open access to some vital system, which can increase the risk of damage to the system. Most vendor of smartphones are not willing to take the risk due to user error. You must be aware of the risk of doing this.

2. Vulnerable to Virus
Default system have their own defensive system to protect the system from harmful virus or malware. If you break through the system to root, you better have something to protect your system, but many people less care about it.
