Gadget Review - Who would have thought that the 4th generation of iPad (iPad 4) will be arriving this soon. Even the launch coincided with the iPad Mini. Though usually at the launch of Apple products we have to wait at least about 12 months for the next generation to finally launch. What kind of upgrades that iPad 4 brings?
Design
iPad 4 design and shape are very much the same as the New iPad (or iPad 3rd generation). Both in terms of size, shape, and even the corners that we find on the previous iPad. Made with exclusive materials, unibodi with the metal on the back, and a scratch-resistant screen on the front. Also, iPad 4 still using a 9.7 inches screen and a fairly wide margin area on the frame. From edge to edge screen iPad is active there are about 16-21 mm in the frame.
The main difference lies in the data / power connector that already use lightning as the iPhone 5 and iPad mini. Therefore, you may have trouble finding a third-party accessories that support these connections. But the easiest way is to use a separate converter, from lightning to 30 pins (the iPad / iPhone old pin before lightning).
Screen
iPad 4 also uses retina display screen with a of 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution (264 ppi). The screen is of course on top of HD resolution and is believed to be the maximum resolution that can be interpreted by normal human retina.
In the fourth generation iPad has no longer an issue with overheating. The heat felt is still in the normal range because of hardware performance, not solely from the screen. However, there is a different brightness quality on iPad 4 compared to the iPad 3. In the same brightness settings, the iPad 3 appear more brilliant, while iPad 4 gives the effect of a bluish shade. Maybe this is a solution step made by Apple to solve overheat problem that appear on previous iPad.
Hardware
Most noticeably upgrade on the iPad 4 is in the chipset processor, the A6x processor. Compared to the iPad 3, iPad 4 chipset more powerful than his predecessor. With a new generation A6x chipset that is believed to have 2 times the graphics performance of A5x used in the iPad 3.
We feel the difference at the boot time that suprisingly much faster. iPad 4 also work greatly when playing high graphic games such as GTA III, Blood and Glory or Lost Wind. This new chipset also claimed to reduce power consumption so the battery can last longer.

There is no fundamental change from the iOS operating system. Thousands of applications have been screened with strict entry thereby reducing the possibility of trojans and viruses, secure online payment system as well as the support from developers who continue to perform the software updating changes made by Apple.
Battery Life
"Apple makes the same battery-life claims on the fourth-gen iPad as on the third-gen: 10 hours of video playback. Then again, the third-gen iPad supposedly had the same battery life as the iPad 2, but actually lasted a little less over the course of an average day.
The latest iPad's battery life, based on our formal tests, is even higher than we expected: it lasted through 13.1 hours of continuous video playback, compared with 11.4 hours on the third-gen iPad. An extra hour and 42 minutes of battery life to go with a significantly faster processor and graphics makes for an awfully nice one-two punch. The fourth-gen iPad lasted a good solid day, and then some, through continuous video-playing, game-playing, Web-browsing use. Incidentally, it also outperformed the iPad Mini's battery life by a full hour." Source:cnet.com
Conclusion
The new fourth-generation iPad is the best and the fastest iPad. Unfortunately, not the most affordable. But, for those who care about the best screen, lightning performance, excellent battery life and the greatest compatibility with cutting-edge apps, then look no further.
