BlackBerry OS 7.1

For BlackBerry users all over the world might be already upgraded their OS to the latest version right now, namely BlackBerry OS 7.1. This new version comes with several new feature and some fresh devices on it. Beside of major upgrade for OS, RIM also upgraded a number of their main apps, including BlackBerry Messenger, BlackBerry Travel and BlackBerry Traffic. Especially for BlackBerry Messenger 6.1, now user could add new contact using NFC technology.

So, what's inside latest BlackBerry OS version compared to the previous version?

Mobile Hotspot
The major different is the latest BlackBerry OS 7.1 comes with mobile hotspot ability. With this feature, user can sharing data connection and connected up to 5 (five) Wi-Fi-enabled devices, including Tablet and laptop.

BlackBerry Tag
User can easily share contacts, photos videos, musics, or even documents by simply put your BlackBerry smartphone near to other Blackberry smartphone with same feature. User also could invite friend to BlackBerry Messenger contact list using the same way, thanks for NFC technology.

FM Radio
Inside this new version, RIM also added FM Radio Application. User can use this features by simply plug-in the headset which also work as antenna. Unfortunately, not every BlackBerry devices have this feature. Only two from Curve series [9340 (Apollo) and 9380 (Orlando)] that embedded with this feature so far.

Wi-Fi Calling
With this feature, you'll be able to make a call via Wi-Fi calling services that provided by SIM card provider (carriers). Wi-Fi calling allows you to save your talk time minutes and make phone calls over any Wi-Fi network. Unfortunately, not all carriers offer such a service so check with your carrier for availability.

Auto Suggestion
Inside Universal Search, new BlackBerry OS added a new auto suggestion feature. So, when you typing in search bar, new auto-suggest feature that that intelligently filters Bing search results will offer you a variety of relevant Web sites based on your search terms.
